PRE-CONSTRUCTION

That's why we are committed to real value engineering from conception and use advanced take-off software and a proprietary cost database to ensure accurate upfront estimation services. Unlike other building firms that delegate estimation to individual team members, our principals, who will manage the projects on-site later, leverage their extensive building experience to provide accurate and reliable estimates. This cohesive approach ensures a tight connection between design and budget elements, minimizing costly redesigns and change orders.

To encourage creativity and problem-solving, we involve clients and partners in the pre-construction phase. Our exceptional personnel prioritize seamless communication and collaboration with the client and design team. We also maintain rigorous documentation, disciplined scheduling, and a comprehensive plan review checklist to ensure the project is set up for success and efficiency before moving on to construction.

We recommend that clients involve us early in their construction journey. At Redwood, we have strong relationships with various architects, design consultants, vendors, and subcontractors in the Chicago area. Additionally, we can offer assistance with site selection, soils analysis, and feasibility reporting services. CONSTRUCTION

Redwood is not content with the status quo and is continuously striving to innovate and improve the construction process. Each project we build is unique and tailored to the client's personality and preferences, so we believe that the construction process should be just as personalized.

Our commitment to personalized construction includes having an owner from Redwood onsite consistently to serve as a project ambassador, overseeing the project and efficiently addressing any challenges that arise. Additionally, each project has an onsite superintendent responsible for managing cost, scheduling, quality, and safety. Our motto is “Every Room Every Day” for our field staff to help ensure project success.

To ensure consistency and quality control, we reduce the variables involved in construction through an extensive preconstruction process, then engage quality trades to build the project. Part of our mission is also cultivating long-lasting relationships with vendors, subcontractors, architects, and interior designers that ensure our success. By leveraging these relationships and a loyal network of partners, we can achieve cost optimization and an exceptional customer experience.

At Redwood, we value timeliness but never at the cost of quality control or communication. We use the latest software and technology to maintain up-to-date scheduling and quality control measures for each project, whether it's located minutes away from the office or on remote job sites.

POST-CONSTRUCTION

At Redwood, every member of our team, from owners to crew members, works tirelessly to ensure that each project is delivered in turn-key ready and immaculate condition. We have a comprehensive project completion checklist in place to provide our clients with peace of mind, and we go above and beyond by delivering all necessary documentation for property upkeep, including operating guides, paint schedules, as-builts, and a complete owner's manual. This meticulous process is designed to allow our clients to fully enjoy their new home from the moment they move in, with minimal distractions.

Our commitment to our clients goes beyond just the construction process. We believe in building projects that stand the test of time, and we take long-term stewardship of our clients' projects seriously. Our clients often become like family to us by the end of the building process, and we continue to provide exceptional service well beyond the warranty period. Our clients frequently rave about the ongoing services we provide, demonstrating our dedication to maintaining lasting relationships and exceeding expectations. We even offer ongoing services through “Facility Services” agreements for our larger projects, where we help develop and manage maintenance schedules, extra work or changes that come up, and contracts with service contractors (such as landscaping, snow removal, janitorial services, and more).
